The price of the accommodation
includes the following:
All central heating, hot water and electricity.
Bedding, bed linen, four towels and two tea towels.
Some kitchen & bathroom cleaning materials and toilet rolls
Pitt Barn Cottages, The Stable and The Shippen are supplied by a private water supply from a borehole
If the private water supply became unsafe, we would inform you and advise:-
1. Boiling all water for drinking and food production
2. Drink bottled water provided by Pitt Barn Cottages.
Acceptance of Children
We welcome children of all ages (cots are not provided).
Smoking & Candles
Smoking is not permitted in the holiday cottages.
No candles, naked flames or flammable liquids are to be used or brought into the holiday cottages.
Sorry, we do not allow pets but there is a local boarding kennels & cattery close by called Camelot if you wish to bring your pet on holiday. Telephone 01579 370465
Cancellation and Insurance
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable.
Non-payment of the balance four weeks before the start of the holiday will be treated as a cancellation.
Pitt Barn Cottages operate a Cancellation Plan where money received is refunded in the event of cancellation due to death, injury, illness, or a summons for Jury Service of any member of the party. Upon receiving written confirmation of the cancellation, Pitt Barn Cottages will send out a Cancellation Form that must be completed in full by a doctor or the court and returned within 28 days of the notice of cancellation.
We would recommend that you take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost.
Non-availability of Accommodation at
atThe Stable & The Shippen
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation at The Stable or The Shippen was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation will be available to you from 3PM on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your rooms.
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10AM on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

We recommend that guests organise their own travel insurance to cover
medical treatment while on holiday.
